The Journey Continues....

I am currently sitting in the lobby of the Hilton Hotel in NYC. The conference is off to a great start, with many prominent guest speakers in the lineup. After a long day of traveling we were all invited to a special evening event sponsored by Promax BDA aboard the Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum. The museum is a historical military ship that has been turned into a museum. The networking event allowed me to do just that, network with some of the many great professionals in the design industry. I was able to meet and talk with several great people that I hope to share some future endeavors with. I would say, all in all, the evening was a great success.

NYC

What a busy few weeks it has been. Tomorrow morning I will be leaving for New York City and attending the Promax BDA located at the Hilton.  I am very excited to begin networking and meeting some of the great people that will be attending the conference. Along with myself, nine others from The Living Arts College will be in attendance. I look forward to meeting and talking with industry professionals and learning more about the field I am studying!

Goals

This week I began working with Elena at Skin Sense, A Day Spa.  Together we are working towards updating the current Skin Sense website.  I spent Monday morning as well as today taking product shots of the bath soaks they sell.  I am hoping to upload the photos I have already and update the current site completely within the next week.  There is still much to do but we are making great progress.  I am loving the job and am really taking great pride in my work.  I can really see myself doing this for a living and am constantly working towards my future goals.

Internship

I am excited to announce that I am now the newest intern to Skin Sense, A Day Spa located in Raleigh, North Carolina.  I will be working closely with Elena Bondar, Marketing and Design Specialist who I had the opportunity to interview with.  Together we will be loooking to recreate their existing product lines as well as, new product lines, e-cards and invitations to special events at the spa, and new ideas for their existing website.  Tomorrow will be my first day and I am eager to learn some new things and work in the great team enviornment.
